           Sofia Yala is an Angolan/Portuguese photographer. She has an academic background in African Studies and Anthropology and graduated from the University of Derby in 2021 with a MA in Film & Photography. Yala's artwork explores archival material combined with unexpected encounters in life. Sofia's art conveys storytelling bringing in different times, textures, and layers.
